Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)

The Enterprise Investment Scheme is open to all companies, whether trading or brand new, with a share capital of up to £7million. The Scheme is designed to encourage investment into a company and to give tax relief to the investor.

One of the key features of the Enterprise Investment Scheme is that 80% of the money raised through the investment must be used within twelve months with the balance to have been used within two years.

There are some hoops to jump through, and we can manage these on the company's behalf; these include the pre-approval process and the application for the Scheme, once the company has shown four months trading, at which point HMRC will give the forms to the Investors. We have completed this process on numerous occasions and are pleased to report a 100% approval success rate.

For new businesses, the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) is an attractive alternative to the EIS Scheme.
